This was the basis for version 2.0 of my website, some years back. The logo stands on its own, but also had a rollover image where the logo receded into the white background as if it was pressed. All of the buttons were exactly the same way. There was a special challenge with the shadows because I needed a transitional drop shadow at the top and bottom of the buttons due to how the light would hit the buttons and how the shadow was cast.
